These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the TreeTwin™ platform operated by Future Version Limited (Company No. 11739018). By using TreeTwin™, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

TreeTwin allows users to:

• "Twin" physical trees by marking their location on an interactive map
• Make donations that support real tree planting through our partner Ecologi
• Receive digital certificates for their contributions
• View a global map of twinned trees

2. User Obligations

When using TreeTwin, you agree to:

• Provide accurate tree location information
• Use appropriate names for your display name and tree names
• Not upload offensive, illegal, or copyrighted content
• Not misuse or attempt to exploit the service
• Respect that your tree name, location, photo, and display name will be publicly visible

3. Payments & Pricing

TreeTwin uses Stripe for secure payment processing. Prices vary based on your chosen planting location:

• UK: £5.00 (1 tree planted)
• Brazil: £5.00 (1 tree planted)
• Global Projects: £6.00 (10 trees planted)
• Australia: £9.00 (2 trees planted)
• USA: £9.25 (5 trees planted)

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment details.

4. Refund Policy

All donations made through TreeTwin are final and non-refundable. This is because:

• 100% of your donation goes directly to tree planting
• Trees are purchased and planted through our partner Ecologi shortly after approval
• Your twinning creates a permanent record on our public map
• Digital certificates are issued immediately after payment

If you believe there has been an error with your payment, please contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours.

5. Tree Planting

TreeTwin partners with Ecologi for verified tree planting projects. We commit to:

• Purchasing trees through Ecologi's Impact Shop
• Planting trees in the location you selected during checkout
• Using Ecologi's verified reforestation projects that meet UN SDG standards

While we make every effort to plant trees promptly, planting timelines depend on our partner's project schedules and seasonal conditions.

6. Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content: By uploading photos to TreeTwin, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your photos on our platform. You retain ownership of your photos.

Our Content: The TreeTwin™ platform, design, logo, and all related materials are owned by Future Version Limited. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

7. Moderation

All twinnings are reviewed by our team before appearing on the public map. We reserve the right to:

• Reject twinnings with inappropriate content
• Edit tree names or display names that violate our guidelines
• Edit or correct tree locations if they appear inaccurate or inappropriate
• Replace or remove images that violate our guidelines
• Remove existing twinnings that are reported and found to violate these Terms

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep TreeTwin available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

• Perform maintenance or updates
• Experience technical difficulties
• Modify or discontinue features

We are not liable for any temporary unavailability of the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• TreeTwin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your twinning
• We are not responsible for third-party services (Stripe, Ecologi)

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to TreeTwin for users who violate these Terms, without notice or liability.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use of TreeTwin after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
